RS Visit to Nelson Library

RS had a wonderful visit to Nelson Library! All the learners walked to the library and looked for local landmarks on the way. We saw the statue of the Nelson Shuttle, the Town Clock and the Cenotaph. Whilst at the library, we learnt all about how to borrow books and the other services avaliable, listened to a story and solved riddles about familiar book characters. We had a great time! All the learners behaved impecibally and made our school proud!

Cat Visit

Miss Dalzell brought her cat Bella into Reception. The learners' learnt how to care and look after animals. We all stroked Bella and enjoyed learning about cats!

Phonics in Reception

 

 

 

 

This half term we have been learning about People Who Help Us. We have explored firefighters, doctors and police officers. This week we were very lucky to meet two police officers from within our own community team PC Donna and PC Jemima.  We enjoyed dressing up as police officers and asking them lots of questions about thier job.
